PRIVACY POLICY — NUMO

Last updated: 15 June 2026

Effective date: 15 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Numo ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and

protects information in connection with the Numo mobile application, website, and

related services (together, the "Service"). Numo is a learning app intended for

children and designed to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

BUILT FOR KIDS, DESIGNED FOR PRIVACY. We collect as little as possible, we do not

sell personal information, and we do not show third-party behavioral advertising

to children. Numo is designed to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy

Protection Act (COPPA) and the children's provisions of the EU/UK GDPR ("GDPR-K").

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. THE SHORT VERSION

  - Most of Numo's data — a child's grade, progress, badges, and settings — is

stored locally on the device, not on our servers.

  - We do not require children to provide personal details to play and learn.

  - When you use the AI homework helper, the math problem text or photo is sent

for processing to generate a solution, then handled as described below.

  - We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party

    behavioral advertising directed at children.

  - Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store and Google Play — we never

    receive your full payment-card details.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

a. Information you provide

  - Profile setup: a child's first name or nickname (optional), grade level, and

learning preferences entered by a parent or guardian.

  - Learning content: answers to practice problems, and any photo or text of a

math problem you submit to the homework helper.

  - Support requests: if you email us, we receive your email address and message.

b. Information collected automatically

  - Progress & usage data: skills practiced, scores, streaks, badges earned, and

in-app settings — primarily stored on your device.

  - Device & diagnostic data: limited technical information such as app version,

device type, operating system, and crash or performance logs, used to keep

    the app working.

  - Subscription status: whether an account has an active subscription or trial

(received from the app store / our subscription provider), not your

    payment-card number.

c. Information we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, contacts, a child's photos

beyond a math worksheet they submit, or sensitive personal information. We do not

build advertising profiles of children.

3. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Numo is directed to children and intended to be operated under the supervision of

a parent or legal guardian. We follow these principles for children's data:

  - Data minimization: we only collect what is needed to provide the learning

    experience.

  - No behavioral advertising: we do not use children's personal information to

    serve targeted/behavioral ads.

  - No sale of data: we do not sell or rent children's personal information.

  - Parental control: a parent or guardian can review, manage, and delete a

child's information (see "Your Rights & Choices").

If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate

parental consent, contact us at support@numomath.net and we will delete it.

4. PHOTOS & AI HOMEWORK HELPER

Numo may let you capture or upload a photo of a worksheet or math problem so the

Service can produce a step-by-step explanation. When you do this:

  - The photo or problem text is transmitted securely to our AI processing

provider solely to generate a solution and return it to you.

  - We instruct our AI provider not to use your submitted content to train their

    general models.

  - We retain submitted content only as long as needed to deliver the result and

for limited debugging/abuse-prevention, after which it is deleted.

  - Please do not include faces, other people, or sensitive personal information

in photos — capture only the math problem.

5. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

  - Provide, personalize, and improve the learning experience (e.g., adapt

    practice to grade level).

  - Track progress, streaks, and badges, and generate parent progress reports.

  - Process the homework helper and return solutions.

  - Operate subscriptions, free trials, and entitlements.

  - Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug and fix problems.

  - Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

6. LEGAL BASES (EEA/UK)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process personal data on these legal bases:

  - Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.

  - Consent — for optional features; where required for a child, with verifiable

parental consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.

  - Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, working, and improving, in

a way balanced against your rights.

  - Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.

7. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information. We share limited information only with:

  - App stores (Apple App Store, Google Play): Process purchases, subscriptions,

    trials, and refunds.

  - Subscription management provider (RevenueCat): Manage entitlements and

    subscription status.

  - AI processing provider: Generate step-by-step solutions for the homework

    helper.

  - Cloud hosting & analytics/crash tools: Run the Service and diagnose problems

    (configured to limit children's data).

  - Legal & safety: Comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights and

    safety.

These providers are bound by contracts to protect information and use it only to

perform services for us. We may also share information in a business transfer

(e.g., merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.

8. SUBSCRIPTIONS & PAYMENTS

Purchases of Numo Premium are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play

under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive confirmation of your

subscription status (active, trialing, expired) but never receive your full

payment-card details. See our Terms & Conditions

(https://www.numomath.net/terms-and-conditions) for billing, free-trial, and

cancellation details.

9. DATA RETENTION

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this

Policy. Device-stored learning data remains until you delete it or uninstall the

app. Submitted homework-helper content is deleted after processing as described

above. We may retain limited records where required to comply with legal

obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

10. SECURITY

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards — including

encryption in transit — to protect information. No method of transmission or

storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we

work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.

11. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES

Depending on where you live, you (or, for a child, the parent/guardian) may have

rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, to object to

or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:

  - Review or delete on-device data by editing the profile or deleting the app.

  - Request access or deletion of any information we hold by emailing

    support@numomath.net.

  - Manage your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings.

We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. You also have

the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We do

not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including

the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as

standard contractual clauses) to protect information transferred across borders.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material

changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate,

provide notice in the app or by other means. Your continued use of the Service

after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
